Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Sterimax Global Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) has been prepared to meet the requirements of PPN 006 (formerly PPN 06/21) and follows the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirements
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline year: 1 January – 31 December 2021 (calendar year)
Baseline methodology and notes: In accordance with SECR, Sterimax Global first collected Scope 1, 2 and selected Scope 3 emissions for the financial year ending 31 December 2021. Scope 2 was reported as zero as electricity was supplied from 100% renewable sources. Scope 3 covered business travel, upstream transport and distribution, and purchased goods and services.
Baseline year emissions (2021):
| Scope | tCO₂e (2021 baseline) |

| Scope 2 | 0 (100% renewable electricity) |

Year-on-Year Performance and Key Drivers (2025 vs 2021 baseline)
• Scope 1: Reduced company fuel uses due to fleet transition — three hybrid cars and one fully electric car. Multiple avoided tank refuels compared to prior years; quantify litres saved and resultant tCO₂e when final data is available.
• Scope 2: Office move to rented premises with improved insulation and high‑performance windows. Lower heating demand; quantify kWh reduction year-on-year and associated tCO₂e.
• Scope 3: Business travel reduced through increased Microsoft Teams meetings. Distribution impacts reduced by relocating warehouse operations to Leicestershire, shortening delivery distances for the UK client base. Provide supporting metrics (e.g., flight segments avoided, freight tonne‑km reductions).
Emissions reduction targets
Sterimax Global projects a reduction in total emissions to 135 tCO₂e by 2027 (a 30% reduction from the 2021 baseline). Interim milestones will be reviewed annually and adjusted as better data becomes available.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed since the baseline year:
• Appointed Head of Environmental Sustainability and implemented an Environmental Policy.
• Hybrid/EV fleet uptake; home/remote working model; promotion of sustainable product lines.
• Warehouse relocation to Leicestershire to centralise UK distribution.
• Supplier engagement to improve data quality for upstream transport and purchased goods/services.
Planned actions for 2026 and beyond:
• Increase EV share of fleet and install workplace charging where practical.
• Improve building energy performance monitoring; optimise heating controls and scheduling.
• Further reduce business travel by defaulting to virtual meetings; economy‑class as standard for essential flights.
• Collaborate with logistics partners to consolidate shipments and track freight tonne‑km.
• Enhance supplier data requests (product‑level emissions where available)
Data Sources and Methodologies
• Activity data: utility bills, fuel card statements, travel agency records, finance exports, and supplier data.
• Emission factors: UK Government GHG Conversion Factors (2025 edition).
• Standards: GHG Protocol Corporate Standard; Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard; SECR guidance.
